A short introduction to SAP HANA as a business ERP
-
HANA (High Performance Analytic Appliance) was created in 2010 with the aim of making Big Data analytical applications run faster. In 2011, SAP HANA appeared as the first implementation of this concept in the SAP database which, thanks to the IN-Memory technology, lets you keep all the data in memory, allowing a more efficient data analysis.
En 2012, SAP Business Warehouse, specialised software for reporting, was the first component to benefit from innovation (SAP BW powered by SAP HANA). Later, in 2013, came SAP Business Suite, its core product.
-
From that moment on, SAP HANA became established as the platform where more and more applications originate. In 2015, SAP S/4HANA was created as the first complete optimised solution developed by SAP HANA and based on the SAP HANA platform.
Today, SAP HANA is an open platform, combining in-memory database, high-speed analytical techniques and flexible data acquisition tools, from which more than 70 specific standalone applications have already been developed.
We offer a certified cloud platform to deploy your SAP infrastructure
In 2019, in our Madrid data centre, we deployed a dedicated SAP-certified cloud platform designed to simplify and accelerate any SAP HANA deployment. Thus, we became part of the "SAP outsourcing operations partner" programme under the title "SAP-Certified® in Infrastructure Operations Services". The infrastructure for SAP HANA databases, following the recommendations of SAP, is based on high-density and optimised next-generation servers for SAP HANA, VMware virtualization, SSD storage system approved and 10Gb connectivity to the application servers in which it will host SAP S / 4, SAP Business One or any other.
Our solution includes both the deployment of the front-end servers needed for the application layer on our public cloud platform Cloudbuilder, and the infrastructure needed to host SAP HANA databases with 2 different models: a virtualised VMWare environment (SAP HANA database deployment on virtual servers for agility and flexibility) and dedicated physical appliances (for large database instances).
Our platform is designed to give our customers and partners great advantages like:
- Reducing the cost of acquiring, managing and maintaining systems for the deployment of SAP HANA.
- Scaling large HANA environments with the flexibility to easily adapt to changing business needs.
- Gaining speed and accelerating sales processes with turnkey SAP solutions with reduced deployment and implementation time.
- Minimising risks and increasing the availability of systems and applications.
As well as this platform designed and optimised for SAP HANA, we have many other infrastructures, both shared and dedicated, used by our customers to host other ERP and business applications such as Microsoft Dynamics, SAGE 200, etc.
